INCREDIBOTS After FLASH

What does the end of FLASH mean for INCREDIBOTS?
INCREDIBOTS 1, 2 and 3 will no longer run in a web browser.

Can I make the FLASH versions of IB work in my browser again?
While you were able to manually allow FLASH in most browsers, as of 12th January 2021 FLASH itself now blocks content from working - all you see is a box with "F" and "i"; click it and you go to Adobe's page about Flash Player's End Of Life (EOL).
There are several projects in development to produce an alternative to Adobe's FLASH Player, ones which would allow legacy .SWF content to still play even in web browsers that no longer support Adobe FLASH, e.g. "Ruffle" - https://ruffle.rs/. So far none will support INCREDIBOTS, though this may change given time.

What can die-hard fans do to keep getting their IB fix?
There are several options:
  1. Someone converts IB to HTML5
Just after FLASH started blocking itself a potential savior of IB appeared in the form of TheDerf, who's already made some progress converting IB2 into HTML5. Learn more about TheDerf's project at the links below:

  2. BlueMaxima's "FLASHPOINT"
    https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/
It's a framework that runs locally on your computer, and lets you run old web-games based on lots of outdated formats like Flash, Shockwave, Java, etc. without the need for a web browser.
There are several download options; "Flashpoint Infinity" is the smallest download at 500Mb, which expands to 2Gb once unpacked. The "Infinity" download doesn't contain any of the games, each one is downloaded from the Flashpoint repository on first use, and played from your local copy from then on.
The FLASH versions of INCREDIBOTS 1, 2, AND 3 are all available through "Flashpoint".

  3. Run IB using Adobe's "Flash Player Projector"
Some years ago I made myself Portable Executables from the Open Source Jaybit Editions of IB1 and IB2.
I couldn't make an executable version of IB3 as there's no single .SWF file available from anywhere.
You can download the executable versions of IB1 and IB2 here:

    Incredibots 1.21

    Incredibots 2.33
Or, if you don't trust downloads from me (quite right, why should you) you can do this for yourself...
